STATEMENT OF WORK
STATEMENT OF WORK
Contract Services for Four (4) Plastic Media Blast Systems
Hangar Walk-In Booths at two (2) locations: NAS North Island and MCAS Camp Pendleton
1. SCOPE:
1.1. This Statement of work (SOW) identifies necessary supplies and services for an “on-site” maintenance agreement of Government-owned assets located at Fleet Readiness Center Southwest (FRCSW), NAS North Island P.O. Box 357058, San Diego, CA 92135-7058 and FRCSW - Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS) Camp Pendleton Bldg. 23104 Team Work Street, Camp Pendleton, CA 92055.
1.2. The Government requires Inspection, Testing, Preventative Maintenance and Calibration services to be performed in accordance with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) standards and all applicable commercial standards on four (4) Plastic Media Blast (PMB) systems as identified.
1.2.1. Bay 11 defines the system as a “Plastic Media Blast (PMB) Facility (90’ x 56’ x 25’) aircraft hangar with blast bay air filters and/or louvers”. The system consists of an EnviroSystems Stripmaster Series 400 PC, three (3) EnviroSystems AWC-3 cartridge filter air walls (each 19’ x 9’ x 4’) feeding a common plenum and parallel exhaust system through two
(2) variable frequency driven roof top fans, 50,000 CFM each. This system also has twin exhaust stacks approximately three stories, roughly 5’ in diameter, around 36’ high with access via the attic or roof.
1.2.2. Bay 12 defines the system as a “Plastic Media Blast (PMB) aircraft hangar measuring 90’ x 56’ x 25’ with blast bay air filters and/or louvers”.
However, instead of venting outside of the building, these have horizontal ducting that runs approximately 50’ in length that connects the exhaust vents to an air plenum that recirculates approximately 85% of the exhaust air, so only 15% of the exhaust is vents outside.
1.2.3. Bay 13 defines the system as an “Abrasive Blast room with recycling: Spray System Inc., (40’ x 16’ x12’) PMB Walk-in Booth; EnviroSystems AW160 Dust Control with 30 cartridges, 20 HP Blow Motor, 16,000 CFM…” This equipment has the exhaust motor directly above and has almost no exhaust ducting – there is a snail shape plenum with an opening of approximately 18” x 18”.
1.2.4. Hangar 23104 (MCAS Camp Pendleton) defines the system as a “Plastic Media Blast (PMB) Facility (90’ x 56’ x 25’) aircraft hangar with blast bay air filters and/or louvers”. The system consists of an EnviroSystems Stripmaster Series 400 PC, three (3) EnviroSystems AWC-3 cartridge filter air walls (each 19’ x 9’ x 4’) feeding a common plenum and parallel exhaust system through two (2) variable frequency driven roof top fans, 50,000 CFM each.
