The Contractor shall deliver replacement parts to the Delta Cross Channel floodgate structure. The Government will install all replacement parts in to the gear reduction boxes.

56-inch PD drum and ring gears (Part Nos. 1R and 1L)—Each flood gate includes two set of drum and ring gears (one right side and one left side) as shown on Drawing Nos. 214-D-16800, -16801, and -16802. The right side and left side gears may not be identical or interchangeable, but they are symmetrical (right and left versions). Each new drum and ring gear will be fabricated from an ANSI 4340 Commercial heat treated forging ring that has a minimum of 28/32 RC Hardness, 128 ksi minimum yield strength, and 146 ksi maximum tensile strength.

The dimension of the drum and ring gear is shown on Drawing No. 214-D-16802. The Contractor shall submit material approval data used for fabrications to the Government for approval before any fabrication. The approval data shall be submitted to Bureau of Reclamation , MP-250 Attention to Arthur Jue, 2800 Cottage Way, Sacramento, CA 95825. Minimum information in the report shall include the following:

a. Chemical analysis.

b. Heat treatment, including temperatures for austenitizing and tempering, time at temperatures, and cooling medium employed for the heat treatment.

c. Results of tests for mechanical properties or hardness, or both, and

d. Results of tests of any required supplementary tests.

e. The Contractor shall provide satisfactory documentation to the Government according to the specifications with the delivery of parts.

f. The drum and ring gears may be rejected if report is not delivered with the new drum and ring gears.

41-inch PD spur gears (Part No. 5)—Each new spur gear will be fabricated from one piece of ASTM A572 Grade 50 alloy steel plate with a minimum of 23/26 RC Hardness, 15 ksi minimum yield strength, and 50 ksi maximum tensile strength . The dimension of the spur gear is shown on Drawing No. 214-D-16802. The Contractor shall submit material approval data used for
