About this file

This is a specification document issued by the Maine Department of Transportation for a quick coupler and forks attachment designed for use with a Case 721B Wheel Loader. The specification details the technical requirements for two primary components: a quick coupler with low center of gravity design capable of hookup on varied terrain conditions, and lifting forks engineered for construction material and pallet handling. The forks must be forged and heat treated, measuring 2" X 6" X 96", and include manual adjustability features. The coupler and forks package must include a complete installation kit and adaptor plate for mounting on the existing lifting arms with Z-Bar linkage of the 721B Case Loader currently in use by the department.

The specification emphasizes functional performance requirements including maintaining high visibility during lifting operations, ensuring ease of equipment hookup, and keeping payload center of gravity close to the machine for operational safety. No pricing terms, set-aside provisions, incumbent information, response dates, or contract award details are specified in this document, as it serves as a technical requirements specification rather than a complete solicitation notice.
