Question:

How are departments planning on allocating dollars for use under the CBES system. It seems that in the previous pilot phase, departments handled this differently. Some piloted regions or specific programs within their services.

Answer:

Departments will allocate dollars based on consumer need and department need.

Question:

Will this information be made available to contractors?

Answer:

This information will be available to the extent that appropriate referrals are made and funds are authorized by each department.

Question:

Will case managers (VRCs, CSCs, etc.) know how to access and utilize these dollars?

Answer:

All State agency personnel are trained in the utilization of this service and others. The CBES is only one option of employment services to consumers. This education is ongoing and will continue.
