About this file

This document is a Question and Response summary for RFP 2026-01, Employee Health Clinic Services, issued by Walker County Government in Georgia. Walker County is soliciting proposals from qualified healthcare providers to establish and operate a comprehensive employee health clinic serving eligible county employees only. The clinic will operate as a walk-in style facility with one physician and certified medical assistants, occupying approximately 30 by 60 feet of existing county space. The clinic is expected to serve approximately 748 annual visits based on 2025 historical data, with an employee population that is 35% female and may include Spanish-speaking staff. The clinic will provide occupational health services including 28 fit-for-work exams and 374 drug screens annually using 17-panel rapid and lab-based testing. Annual firefighter and POST physicals are required. Sealed proposals are due January 21, 2026, at 2:00 p.m., with award notification anticipated for the February or March Board of Commissioners meeting.

The current operational budget for health center services is $160,000 annually, with existing annual pharmacy spend of $527,142. Walker County does not currently operate a wellness program but intends for the awarded vendor to establish one with biometric screenings, health coaching, and a wellness engagement platform focused on employee-only participants. The county does not maintain an on-site EHR system; the awardee must implement a new system for approximately 6 to 8 users. The county uses ACCG as its workers' compensation TPA and is not self-funded. No controlled substances will be prescribed, and no x-ray equipment is required. Walker County's primary objectives are improving employee access to affordable healthcare, reducing absenteeism, addressing gaps in primary care access during working hours, and reducing preventable emergency room visits through integrated preventive care and wellness initiatives.
