About this file
This document is a Questions and Responses record for Project No. TCSG-397 Quick Start EV Training Center - Newton County, a Request for Qualifications issued by the Georgia State Financing and Investment Commission (GSFIC) on behalf of the Technical College System of the State of Georgia and Quick Start. The project seeks design professional services for an electric vehicle training center located at Newton County I-20 & US 278 NW in Georgia, with a target completion date in the fourth quarter of 2024. The facility will include a possible catering kitchen, modest retail vending area, and trainee breakroom equipped with standard amenities such as microwaves, refrigerators, and seating. Conceptual recommendations developed by the Quick Start team in collaboration with the manufacturer will be provided to design professionals to facilitate the schematic design phase and expedite the project timeline.
Qualified firms must be licensed to transact business in the State of Georgia at the time of qualifications submission, and the registered architect responsible for stamping drawings must hold current licensure in Georgia. The design professional's scope of work includes selection of interior and exterior building finishes, which may incorporate corporate branding elements as part of the overall facility programming and design strategy. The RFQ emphasizes that branding exploration, material selection, and experiential design elements will be integrated during the early design process to align with the company's messaging strategies while maintaining the top priority of training functionality.
