About this file

This document is a Questions and Responses file from the State of Florida Department of Transportation, Florida's Turnpike Enterprise, related to Invitation to Bid (ITB) DOT-ITB-26-8007-RM for the Boca Tolls Data Center Exterior Painting project. The document provides detailed responses to 13 contractor questions covering specific project requirements, including painting specifications, surface treatments, and scope of work. Key clarifications include using Tex-Cote as the specified coating product, sealing windows only at metal-to-concrete connections, painting certain rolling doors and tracks, removing awnings for disposal, and specifying that concrete slabs are to be pressure washed but not painted.

The responses indicate no specific project budget was disclosed, and Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) mobilization should be applied using Form 6 – Notice of Intent to Sublet and MBE Planned Utilization. The document references Attachment A - Contract Plans and Technical Special Provisions for additional project details, suggesting comprehensive documentation exists beyond this Q&A file. The responses provide precise guidance on painting requirements, excluded areas, and specific treatment of various building components, demonstrating the project's detailed scope and the department's commitment to clear communication with potential bidders.
