About this file
This document is a set of Questions and Answers related to a federal grant opportunity announcement M24AS00302 titled "Collecting Fisheries Ecological Knowledge (FEK) for Use in Gulf of Maine Offshore Wind". The announcement was made on July 16, 2024 and the application due date is August 10, 2024.
The grant opportunity is a cooperative agreement funded through the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management's (BOEM) Environmental Studies (ES) program. The objective is to collect FEK to improve BOEM's understanding of fishing in the Gulf of Maine and how it relates to offshore wind development. The grant will establish methods to document, validate, and analyze FEK, and provide the data in a format that can be incorporated into planning and resource management decisions. Additional tasks include participatory mapping of fishing grounds and providing user guidance on spatial data tools. Confidentiality measures will be included to instill confidence among fishers in accurately collecting the FEK. Cost sharing is not required but is strongly encouraged, and will not impact the evaluation criteria.

1. Question: FOA says Project Deliverables and Planned Products: Applicants shall provide plans for executing the duties of the awardee listed in Section F3 and the deliverables in Section A3 as outlined in the Table in Section H including a rough timeline for these deliverables.
