About this file
This document contains Questions and Answers related to the federal grant opportunity for the "Trusted Judicial Advocacy Network" cooperative agreement. The key details are:
The grant opportunity is an open competition for organizations to create a trusted judicial advocacy network in North Macedonia, modeled after the American Inns of Court, to promote judicial independence and strengthen the rule of law. The funding agency is the Department of State's Bureau of International Narcotics Law Enforcement, under the Criminal Justice Systems grant program (CFDA 19.703).
The Q&A document provides illustrative salary ranges for administrative/program assistant (EUR 16,650 - EUR 30,439) and program/subject matter specialist (EUR 26,378 - EUR 47,978) positions under the local compensation plan. It also confirms that INL does not require the forums attended by network participants to be INL-sponsored, and that pre-approval would be needed for selecting all locally employed and contracted staff/experts in North Macedonia, not just key personnel.
