One question asked if an applicant could partner with Johns Hopkins SAIS to facilitate an intensive multi-day training in Bologna, Italy using their facilities, rather than holding the training in Slovakia as outlined. The response approved this partnership and location, noting the NOFO did not provide guidance on partnerships or locations, so the applicant could utilize existing partnerships and host activities where cost-effective. INL24GR0002-EASLOVAKIA-VICTIMJUS
Date: October 18, 2023
Question 1:
One of the interested applicants would like to utilize its memorandum of understanding with Johns Hopkins SAIS and partner with the university to facilitate the intensive, multi-day “bootcamp” training, an activity under Deliverable A). The training would thus take place in Bologna, Italy utilizing the university’s training facilities and saving costs. The remaining training activities would likely take place in Slovakia. Would this partnership and the location be acceptable?
INL Response:
The NOFO does not outline the guidance for partnerships and does not indicate where the bootcamp should take. The applicant is thus free to utilize its existing partnerships and host training activities at the location of its choice, provided it is cost-effective.
