About this file
This document contains Questions and Answers related to a competitive sealed bid solicitation by the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) for the procurement of Bags, Various. The solicitation has a bid opening date of Tuesday, March 12, 2024. The contract will be an Agency Term Contract to supply the 25 FDOT warehouses across Florida with cotton bags on an as-needed basis, with no specific project or budget defined. The specifications require the bags to be bundled in a way that they can be easily moved and stored. Delivery must be within 30 days to the specific FDOT warehouse that places the order, and the bags will be warehoused until distributed to the requesting areas within that district.
The solicitation does not provide images or detailed technical specifications for the bags, but indicates they are basic cotton bags for holding sand, dirt, or other samples. There is a preference for natural-colored bags, with no specific color requirement. The string used to tie the bags must be long enough to stay tied and thick enough to not break when used.
