About this file

This is a Questions and Answers document for RFB #SP-20-56 issued by University of Wisconsin Oshkosh Facilities Management to clarify specifications for the provision and installation of exterior door number signs for 375 doors at the UW Oshkosh campus in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. The project requires both supply and installation of aluminum signage with specific technical requirements. Key specifications include .080-inch thickness aluminum construction, mounting using minimum 1-inch long #8 screws with a minimum of three connection points, and border thickness and offset requirements of minimum 1/4 inch. Installation must accommodate mounting to various surfaces including brick, concrete, stucco, wood, metal, and CMU materials, with hole spacing and placement determined by the contractor to ensure signs withstand Wisconsin weather conditions without flexing or breaking upon installation.

The questions and answers document addresses aluminum sign specifications and sign size specifications to provide bidders with clarification on material requirements, mounting specifications, and design parameters. Contractors are responsible for determining optimal hole patterns, spacing, and edge offsets based on the provided minimum specifications to ensure structural integrity and proper weather resistance. Questions regarding this bid should be directed to Susan Poff at UW Oshkosh Facilities Management Purchasing at 920-424-2006 or poffs@uwosh.edu. No specific pricing terms, set-asides, response dates, or contract award information is provided in this questions and answers document.
