About this file

This document contains questions and answers regarding amendment 1 to solicitation number 80LARC21Q767612. The National Aeronautics and Space Administration Langley Research Center is seeking offers for 120,000 pounds of virgin, unused R-134a refrigerant to be delivered in four tanker trucks containing approximately 30,000 pounds each. Offerors may propose economic price adjustments. Delivery via ISO containers would also be acceptable provided the method of product transfer is standard across container sizes.

RFQ - 80LARC21Q767612 - Amendment 1 # Questions: Answers:

Would the government be open to incorporating FAR clause 52.216-1, 52.216-2, relative to economic price adjustment?

Yes, the Government is willing to incorporate FAR clause 52.216-1, 52.216-2, relative to economic price adjustment into the purchase order.

The method of delivery states “tanker truck” consisting of approximately 40,000 lbs of R-134a. Would we also be able to deliver in ISO containers with approximately 30,000 lbs of R-134a?

The Government understanding of this transaction is x-amount of dollars for y-amount of product. The mode of delivery shouldn’t matter, unless there are added fees for the number of trucks used.

The Government is not familiar with the interfaces for product transfer from the trucks to our tank, and do not know if these would be standard or different across a 30,000-lb truck or a 40,000-lb truck. If they are standard, then we should be good to go for four (4) 30,000-lb trucks.
