About this file

This document is a Questions and Answers document for B 827 Duct Cleaning solicitation at Dobbins Air Reserve Base. The Q&A provides critical details about the duct cleaning contract, including that there is no current incumbent contractor and a similar previous contract (B 729) was awarded at $15,500.00. Work is preferred during normal business hours (Monday-Friday, excluding holidays), with potential for extended hours upon government approval. The building will remain occupied during work performance, and no site visits will be conducted.

Key technical specifications include flexibility on product requirements: Fiberlock 8500 can be substituted with an equivalent product, and IAQ 8000 is acceptable as an alternative to IAQ 8500. No man lifts are required, though contractors should plan for potentially lined ductwork. Contractors must submit a financial worksheet with their initial bid, and NADCA certification is not mandatory. The solicitation is dated August 13, 2025, with work to be performed at Dobbins Air Reserve Base, emphasizing practical considerations for potential bidders.
