About this file

This document is a Question and Answer (Q&A) Set related to an Invitation for Bid (IFB) issued by the California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) for fish feeds, medications, and additives. The IFB covers the estimated three-year requirements for Salmon, Steelhead, and Trout Feeds. The contract will be mandatory for CDFW and available for use by participating local agencies. The IFB has a bid due date that has been updated in Addendum 2, posted on Cal eProcure. The bid requirements include packaging the fish feed in bags/sacks not to exceed 44 lbs, a minimum order of 2,200 lbs for bulk loads, and pricing for additives and medications as a separate group.

The Q&A set provides clarification on the use of alternative protein sources, the published market value of fish produced, and delivery schedule requirements. Bidders are required to provide pricing only for the Additives and Medications group, and cannot include those costs in the total price for all line items.
