About this file

This document is a Supplement to AFLC Form 761, a qualification requirements specification dated August 21, 2020, for a Concentrator, Oxygen, Aircraft component (National Stock Number 1660-01-473-3547, Part Number 16VK064-2).

The document establishes source qualification requirements in two categories based on the date qualification requirements were established. For requirements established prior to October 19, 1984, Section F.1 states that prequalification of sources is essential to maintain high quality and operational safety under FAR 9.206-1(a)(2). Section F.2(a), which is checked and applicable for this item, specifies that only actual manufacturers who have successfully completed all testing required by the original company responsible for design may be considered approved sources. The OC-ALC Source Approval Information Booklet contains the detailed qualification requirements. For requirements established after October 19, 1984, a Justification for Qualification Requirement (JQR) is required. Section F.2(a) is similarly checked for post-October 1984 requirements, maintaining the same restriction that only actual manufacturers with successful completion of original design testing can be approved sources. The document was evaluated by Hill Jeffrey Ryan (423 SCMS, extension 405-582-9973) and is signed digitally as of August 21, 2020.
