GSA Supply Chain Today - Basic System Concepts Multiple order-processing means

GSA’s has historically accomplished most of its acquisition in the Continental U.S….

…and handed off to the U.S. Department of Defense for delivery overseas

New GSA Central Asia Supply Chain

Sourcing product closer to our customer should help GSA improve delivery time and reduce transportation costs.
Previous slide noted that GSA’s primary acquisition model is largely confined to acquisitions within the United States.
Contract(s) issued under the RFP will help GSA identify and establish product sourcing relationships.
GSA looks forward to new ways to

improve customer service via the Central Asia supply chain.
