About this file

This document contains information about three state and local contract opportunities for brownfield redevelopment planning services in Wisconsin. The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) is seeking proposals from qualified firms to provide consulting services to assist with brownfield redevelopment planning at three separate sites: a 0.54-acre property in downtown Peshtigo, a 1.037-acre site of the former Turtle Lake Creamery in the Village of Turtle Lake, and a 1.69-acre former site of the Normal Steel Castings foundry in the City of Wisconsin Rapids. The deadline for submitting written questions is November 1, 2024, and answers will be posted by November 8, 2024. The contracts will help advance the redevelopment of these sites for the benefit of the respective communities.

The document also provides additional details about the Turtle Lake site, including a map depicting the targeted area and clarifying that the subject site includes two tax parcels totaling 1.037 acres. No planning studies or other redevelopment documents have been previously completed for this site, though a Comprehensive Plan for the Village of Turtle Lake was adopted in 2020.
