About this file
This document is a Question and Answer summary for a lower trail resurfacing solicitation in South Slough, Oregon, addressing clarifications and specifications for multiple project components. The project encompasses resurfacing education platforms with composite materials, rebuilding decks to residential specifications with 12-inch on-center stringers and posts set 3 feet deep and backfilled with rock, removing and replacing a restroom building while managing underground tank and wood removal per Department of Environmental Quality approval, renovating an education shed including roof replacement with 29-gauge classic brown metal roofing and medium brown paint, and constructing a gravel pad for portable restrooms approximately 12-18 inches deep over a 14-foot by 8-foot area with geotextile underlayment. Specific materials include pressure-treated facia boards, composite decking in earth-tone colors selected by the owner, a metal security door to be provided by the owner with matching locks, and complete removal of existing gutters from the shed. Existing deck and structure footprints must be maintained unless adjustments are approved by the owner, and any work areas will be closed to the public during work hours for safety purposes.
The Q&A document does not specify pricing terms, budgets, set-asides, or incumbent vendors. Change orders are available for unforeseen rot or damage discovered during construction that was not designated for replacement in the original scope. Non-slip composite decking is not mandatory, and ADA compliance is not currently required for the project. All decisions regarding material specifications and design adjustments require owner approval, and the restroom removal will be managed by the owner in coordination with regulatory compliance requirements. The document provides technical guidance only and does not contain procurement timeline details, response deadlines, or funding information.
