About this file
This document contains the Q&A from the pre-bid meeting for the Rock Creek Old Fishway Decommission project, which is being solicited by the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife (ODFW). The project involves decommissioning the old fishway located at the ODFW diversion dam at Rock Creek Hatchery. The Q&A addresses several questions, including whether there are any special concrete additives (no), whether the flood wall opening can be enlarged (yes, up to 16'-0"), and whether the hillside beyond the flood wall can be excavated to create a larger flat area for construction (ODFW is reviewing this). The bids for this project are due before ODFW provides a decision on the excavation, so bidders must bid according to the currently available space.
The pricing terms, set-asides, incumbents, funding requirements, and other salient information are not provided in this document. The key details focus on the scope of work, project site, and clarifications provided during the pre-bid meeting.

Text version
Here is the Q&A from the pre-bid:
Q: Are there any special concrete additives?
A: No special additives are being used for this project
Q: Can the flood wall opening be enlarged?.
A: Yes it can be enlarged, however new bulkhead timbers will need to be provided.
Q: Can the hillside in the area beyond the flood wall be excavated to create bigger flat area for construction? A crane would need an area around 30’-0” from the fishway wall A: ODFW is reviewing if this can be allowed. Until ODFW provides approval, which likely will not be before bids are due, all bids shall bid according to the current available space.
Q: How much larger can the floodwall opening be made?
A: The opening can be increased to 16’-0”.
