About this file
This document is a Questions and Answers document for the Request for Proposal (RFP) for Benefits Broker and Consulting Services issued by Summit School District in Colorado. The RFP seeks a new benefits broker to assist the District's Health Benefits Committee in evaluating and managing employee health benefits, with questions and answers covering topics such as the rationale for the RFP, current benefits communication methods, employee satisfaction, and existing benefits infrastructure. The document indicates the District is currently self-funded, has been with their current broker for over ten years, and is seeking to review broker services to ensure fiscally responsible resource allocation.
Key details include the current benefits setup: UHC Choice Plus network, Optum Rx as prescription drug vendor, a $120,000 individual stop loss level with UHC, and Cirrus MD telehealth service with 54 active users and 120 visits year-to-date. The District currently uses commission-based broker compensation and is open to reviewing alternative compensation methods. They currently communicate benefits electronically and have not recently re-surveyed employee satisfaction after switching network providers. The most recent employee satisfaction survey two years ago showed a 4.83 out of 10 rating. The District has opted out of the Colorado FAMLI program and will make the current benefits guide available on their website.
