About this file
This document is an Addendum to Invitation for Bid (IFB) No. 10198791 for Fall Protection/Retrieval Equipment Maintenance Services, issued by the California Department of Water Resources (DWR). The IFB seeks a contractor to provide annual inspections, servicing, proof-load testing, and repairs for fall protection equipment, including self-retracting lifelines, retrieval winches, horizontal lifelines, and anchor points, in compliance with manufacturer's standards. The equipment will be used across San Joaquin County.
The Addendum responds to two questions from prospective bidders. It clarifies that bidders who are not California certified small businesses or Disabled Veteran Business Enterprises (DVBEs) do not need to submit any related documentation, as long as they are not subcontracting to such businesses under this contract.

NOTICE TO PROSPECTIVE BIDDERS
04/02/2024
To All Prospective Bidders:
DWR Received the following question(s) for IFB No.10198791 for Fall Protection/ Retrieval Equipment Maintenance Services:
Q1. We are not a California certified small business and the work that we are doing is not able to be contracted out. Do we need to return anything for the small business section?
A1. Unless you are a Small Business or using a Small Business Subcontractor under this contract you do not need to turn in any documentation under the Small Business Checklist.
Q2. We are not a Disabled Veterans Business Enterprises (DVBE) Participant. I know we need to attach the Bidder Declaration, but I am unsure if we need to attach anything else from this section of paperwork. Again, this is also not work that can contract out.
A2. This is the same as the previous question. You would only need to turn in DVBE documents if your company is a certified DVBE or subcontracting to a DVBE.
