About this file

This document contains a Q&A related to a state and local contract opportunity for COMPUTER TRAINING SERVICES issued by the Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT). The RFR (Request for Response) seeks a vendor to provide computer training services, including training on the proprietary SIMS software application, as well as Microsoft and Adobe software. The training will be delivered at various locations throughout the state, with an estimated 2-3 full-day training sessions per year, with no more than 10 people per session. MassDOT will provide training on the SIMS application to the chosen vendor, and the vendor is expected to train MassDOT employees on the use of SIMS. The vendor is required to provide a dedicated team of trainers, with a project manager acting as an extension of the MassDOT training organization, responsible for processing registrations, producing a training calendar, coordinating classroom materials, and consulting on custom classes as needed.

Regarding pricing, the costs of project management and registration support are to be embedded within the course pricing. MassDOT reserves the right to cancel a class with up to 24 hours' notice, and if a class is canceled with less than 24 hours' notice, payment will still be made. In the event of a weather-related emergency, a scheduled class would be canceled, and payment would not be made.
