1. Do you know if the rooms required over the weekends are typically singles or doubles?

Yes, rooms over our UTA “drill weekends” are typically for both single and double rooms. However, due to the current environmental conditions with COVID-19, Wing Leadership has directed that all members utilizing contract lodging be placed in single-occupant quarters/rooms. This requirement is indefinite and subject to change based on changing environmental conditions. Please note that UTA lodging may be required outside of typical UTA weekends due to some members not being able to be physically present over standard UTA weekends. In cases such as these, lodging will be required to be available on a limited basis outside of standard UTA weekends.

2. I would like to know if we can submit more than one hotel property for this requirement. Is there a star or diamond rating for this?

There is not a required star or diamond rating, but the hotel properties submitted for consideration must be of a “midscale” quality, as identified in the solicitation. To be considered for award, interested parties must submit a minimum of four (4) hotel properties, but not more than six (6).

3. Are taxes applied to the hotel rooms if the hotels are provided by a Hotel/Lodging Management Company?

Yes. Since hotel/lodging management companies are reserving the rooms, taxes may be applicable to their entity. However, the North Dakota Air National Guard is a tax-exempt Government entity and any applicable taxes to hotel/management companies shall not be included in monthly invoicing. Any Interested Party (Hotel/Lodging Management Companies and/or third-party vendors) who is responsible for paying applicable taxes must consider these additional costs into their proposal.
