1. The call asks for 5 pages technical/management file. Is it still required that a separate cover letter will be attached? Will that be included in the count. In other words, should the technical/management proposal be 5 pages including the cover page or 5 pages in addition to the 5 pages?
The 5-page limit includes the cover letter. See snippet from the CALL below.
2. The call requires the technical/management document to be in Microsoft word. However, Grant.gov necessitate files to be in pdf format. IS it OK if the file is uploaded in pdf or is there something here, I need to pay attention to?
Grant.gov FAQS for applicants states there is NO restriction limit on type of attachments. Our office also checked, and we do not have any agency restrictions that would prevent you from uploading a word document. If UC is continuing to have problems the Government recommends UC contact the help desk. See snippet below from FAQs.
3. The call also asks for emailing the proposal in addition to submitting it through the system.
Please confirm that this is the case.
The CALL states proposal shall be uploaded to grants.gov. However, the Government requested offerors shall notify the Government Points of Contacts when a proposal is submitted electronically via grants.gov. The Government does NOT want the proposals emailed; the Government just wants to know when applicants have uploaded their files to grants.gov. See snippet from the CALL below.
4. We were wondering if you’d be available for a brief zoom meeting in the coming weeks so we might be able to better craft a proposal that meets your current mission needs.
Unfortunately, the Government cannot have a zoom meeting in regard to this proposal.
5. Does this mean that each university is limited to submitting one proposal total to the competition that addresses one topic only?
Yes
