About this file

This is a Questions and Answers document for School Road Site Request for Proposal #190000002166, issued by the Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy (EGLE). The RFP addresses environmental remediation services at the School Road site, including soil contamination assessment and cleanup activities. Key project elements include the provision of sample bottles for monitoring wells, stabilization of a two-track access road using mats, soil waste profile documentation from a landfill, and excavation and disposal of contaminated soil alongside old concrete located near the excavation site. The document confirms that a scaled map would be provided as an addendum to assist bidders in developing costs for access road improvements.

Regarding pricing and contract modifications, EGLE approved a revision to Schedule B Pricing Matrix to consolidate equipment rental line items into a single "load, transport and dispose of contaminated soil" unit priced per ton, rather than itemizing daily rates for individual equipment such as bulldozers and loaders. EGLE confirmed responsibility for payment of soil waste profiles required by the landfill. These clarifications indicate flexibility in the pricing structure to accommodate bidder cost estimation methodologies while maintaining project scope clarity.
