About this file

This is a vendor Q&A document for RFP SP-WWU2024-1125 issued by Western Washington University (WWU) for tiny homes to be located in Mazama, WA. The RFP seeks two tiny homes constructed as RVs, measuring 24-28 feet long with 200-410 square feet of space, with one unit requiring a washer/dryer combo. The units must be permanently constructed on trailers, registered as RVs, and pass Washington L&I inspection. The specifications include options for built-in or portable air filters, water storage tanks (fresh, grey, and black water), and energy-efficient appliances without specific brand requirements. WWU will handle site preparation and utility installation, while the vendor is responsible for delivery and leveling units with corner jacks.

The payment terms specify that WWU will pay contractors within 30 days of properly completed invoices or deliverable acceptance. WWU is subject to sales tax, and vendors outside Washington State must provide proof of licensing and insurance certificates. While the university will coordinate DMV title registration, vendors must provide titles and bills of sale. Vendors may submit pictures and designs of similar projects with references. The RFP does not specify exact layout requirements for bathrooms and kitchens, leaving dimensions and materials to manufacturer design while meeting specified climate and environmental conditions including temperature range and snowload requirements.
