About this file
This document contains questions and answers regarding a federal contract solicitation for warehouse management services to support emergency medical supply storage for the Department of Veterans Affairs Veterans Health Administration Veterans Integrated Service Network 16. The solicitation requires climate-controlled warehouse space and management of inventory including receipt, storage, rotation based on expiration dates, and outbound shipment of medical supplies. Products may include hazardous, flammable, or refrigerated items. The contractor will be responsible for outbound shipments and ensuring shipping containers are checked for damage upon receipt. Historical shipment volume data was not provided as this is a new requirement. Backup power sources and outputs for the generator were clarified. The number of pallets for emergency orders and whether shipment details will be provided were also addressed.
