About this file
This document is a Questions and Answers (Q&A) file for a Department of the Air Force Materiel Command solicitation (FA8125-25-R-0005) for an Automated Investment Casting Cell. The Q&A session addresses specific technical specifications for the project, including modifications to the original Statement of Work. Key clarifications include approval for a slightly larger drying chamber (approximately 21' x 26' instead of 20'x20'), a reduced shell weight requirement (at least 100 lbs, down from 200 lbs), and confirmation that Tinker will supply the chilled water system. The document also specifies infrastructure details, such as a lift pump to be installed within 25' of the robot cell for drainage purposes, indicating precise requirements for equipment installation and support systems.
