DEPARTMENT OF STATE
BUREAU OF AFRICAN AFFAIRS
Sub-Saharan Africa Security Sector Consortium
FUNDING OPPORTUNITY #: SFOP0009892
Question #1: I was interested in submitting a proposal for the Sub-Saharan Africa Security
Sector Consortium; however, I had a question concerning this research laboratory’s eligibility as an FFRDC. I saw in the NOFO the eligibility statement the different organizations permitted to apply, but I did not see anything specifically stating the eligibility status of FFRDCs.
DOS Response: To the best of our knowledge, your research laboratory is part of the
Department of Energy and not eligible to apply. Please see the NOFO, eligibility category on page 3. The eligibility category addresses organizational status in general, there is no mention of specific organizations.
