About this file
This is a Procurement Exemption Notice issued by Pierce County Parks and Recreation Department in Washington State for the direct negotiation purchase of PYRO Evo-Counter equipment and related services from Eco-Counter. The procurement exemption is based on a special facility exemption and will remain valid for 24 months. The County requires equipment specifically authorized by the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) to sell PYRO Evo Counters, as this equipment is necessary to maintain continuity of operations with the County's current PYRO Evo-Counter systems. Interested entities must submit capability statements via the OpenGov platform demonstrating their ability to meet the identified minimum requirements. Inquiries should be directed to Andrew Robson, Pierce County Finance Department, at (253) 798-7456 or Andrew.robson@piercecountywa.gov.
The estimated total cost for all equipment and services over the 24-month exemption period is $15,000.00. The procurement is structured as a directly negotiated purchase with a single qualified vendor rather than a competitive bidding process, reflecting the specialized nature of the required equipment and the need for continuity with existing systems currently deployed by Pierce County Parks and Recreation.
