Statement of Work
Self Propelled Floor Sweeper/Scrubber March Air Reserve Base
05 Mar 2026
1. Background. March Air Reserve Base, California is the home to KC-135 and C-17 aircraft and future home of KC-46 aircraft. The 452 Maintenance Squadron at March must maintain 3 aircraft inspection hangars with an additional hangar to be added in 2027.A clean, debris free floor provides for a safe inspection and maintenance environment for personnel and technicians. The size of aircraft that are maintained here require hangars that have massive floor space and 2 of these hangars are used for aircraft washes, this creates a dirty and greasy floor that becomes a slip hazard. Maintaining the cleanliness of these floors by hand would increase the amount personnel needed to perform the cleaning as well as greatly reduce the amount of man hours that are better utilized for aircraft maintenance. The use of self-propelled floor sweeper/scrubber would only require one technician.
