FOR

REFURBISHMENT OF THE HOLOCAUST REMEMBRANCE EXHIBIT

1. DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES. The Contractor shall provide all supervision, labor, materials, equipment, and transportation to complete the refurbishment of the National Museum of the U.S. Air Force’s (NMUSAF) Holocaust Remembrance Exhibit.

1.1. TASKS.

1.1.1. Pick-up existing exhibit from the NMUSAF Research Division.

1.1.2. Refurbish and polish all acrylic substrate.

1.1.3. Refurbish all graphic elements.

1.1.4. Print all images and graphics supplied by NMSUAF.

1.1.5. Switch existing lighting system to LED.

1.1.6. Repair and refurbish exhibit base.

1.1.7. Deliver and install finished exhibit to the Holocaust Gallery at the NMUSAF.

2. GOVERNMENT PROVIDED MATERIALS.

2.1. The NMUSAF will supply all graphic, artwork, and photographs to the contractor for direct print and usage.

3. GENERAL INFORMATION.

3.1. SECURITY REQUIREMENTS.

3.1.1. A NMUSAF employee will meet the contractor at Gate 26A, Area B, located off State Route 235, to escort vehicle to NMUSAF/MUA to pick-up old exhibit and then escort contractor off base.

3.2. PHYSICAL SECURITY.

3.2.1. The contractor shall be responsible for safeguarding all government property provided for contractor use. At the close of each work period, government property and materials shall be secured.

3.3. HOURS OF OPERATION.

3.3.1. The contractor shall pick-up old exhibit on Area B during the following hours: MON - FRI, 0800-1700, EXCEPT FEDERAL HOLIDAYS and install in the NMUSAF Holocaust Gallery during the following hours: MON - FRI, 0800- 1700, EXCEPT FEDERAL HOLIDAYS. The contractor may work, with prior approval of the Contracting Officer, extended hours to ensure timely completion of work at no additional cost to the government.

3.3.1.1. Recognized Holidays. The contractor is not required to provide service on the following days: New Year’s Day, Martin Luther King Day, Presidents Day, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, Independence Day, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Veterans Days, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. If the holiday falls on Saturday, it is observed on Friday. If the holiday falls on a Sunday, it is observed on Monday.

3.4. SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS.

3.4.1. Contractor should have specialized experience in working with sensitive topics and materials at national or international museum’s to ensure subject matter is designed and displayed with the utmost care.

3.4.2. Contractor portfolio should reflect previous work accomplished at this level of care.

4. PERIOD PERFORMANCE.

4.1. Contractor should have old exhibit picked-up no later than five business days from award of the contract.

4.2. Contractor should have exhibit completed and installed no later than eight (8) weeks from pick-up date.

• Tiered base dimensions of 108”w X 30”d X 18”h with plastic laminate finish

• Four (4) “Fractured” edge lit ½” acrylic panels with float mounted text and graphics

• Three (3) Full bleed graphics on monolith panels

• Overall height of 84”
