PERFORMANCE WORK STATEMENT (PWS)
INTENT-BASED LEADERSHIP TRAINING COURSE
1. Introduction and Overview:
Intent-Based Leadership masterclass teaches leaders to establish their intent and then give control to their subordinates. This forces airmen at all levels to think at the operational and strategic level. Intent-Based Leadership training would thus synchronize everyone's thoughts towards the mission, driving individual competence and organizational clarity. Furthermore, because Intent-Based Leadership training creates a work atmosphere where everyone is actively engaged and thinking independently, implementing Intent-Based Leadership training drives innovation. Where there are more active thinkers, there will be more innovative ideas.
When leaders empower those thinkers with the ability to implement their ideas, organizations, like the 552 ACW, can conquer fiscal and unique challenges. The 552 ACW requires this training to provide its members leadership development opportunities that focus on leaders empowering their teams and setting clear intent to accomplish the mission. Intent-Based Leadership masterclass training training focuses on the topics necessary by the 552 ACW.
Commander’s Leadership Summit 26-30 April 2021. The masterclass training sessions must cover the following objectives focused on intent-based leadership:
- Introductions and Initial Briefings
- Intent-Based Leadership
- Practical Empowerment
- Technical Competence

- Empowering Language
- Pushing decision-making downward
