About this file

This Performance Work Statement (PWS) dated 14 November 2025 outlines cryptographic systems engineering support requirements for the Space Systems Center (SSC)/SSIO/CMO. The objective is to replace the current transactional model between SSC Program Offices, Air Force Lifecycle Management Center's Cryptologic and Cyber Systems Division (AFLCMC/HNC), and the National Security Agency's Cybersecurity Directorate (NSA/CSD) with an integrated model of contractor support.

The contract requires subject matter experts to provide comprehensive cryptographic and communications security (COMSEC) support, including: establishing and updating COMSEC policies, identifying and developing crypto solutions, coordinating with NSA for certification, conducting requirements analysis, integrating crypto systems, managing key materials, resolving technical issues, and advising leadership. Key responsibilities encompass technical assessments, trade comparisons, crypto solution recommendations, risk assessments, integration support for cryptographic hardware and software, and liaison support between various government agencies, academic institutions, and industry partners. The support is specifically focused on space systems cryptographic solutions across ground and space platforms.
