About this file
This document contains a Performance Work Statement (PWS) for the upgrade of a centralized vacuum system at the 3 MXS ASMLO Shop located at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska. The PWS outlines the requirement to install a new main control panel, eight 24VDC filter clean solenoids with air horns, and three remote on/off panels, as well as provide startup and commissioning services for the upgraded system.
The related federal contract opportunity is a Notice of Intent to Award a sole source contract to Dustcontrol Inc. under FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i) for the vacuum maintenance system control panel and associated services. The government cites the need for compatibility with the current system and unique capabilities as justification for the sole source award to Dustcontrol Inc. as the only authorized provider of the required services and panel. The contract is a firm fixed price simplified acquisition with a tentative award date of October 2024.

PERFORMANCE WORK STATEMENT
July 2024
1. Background. The 3 MXS ASMLO Shop has a centralized vacuum system plumbed throughout the facility to mitigate hazardous sanding dust produced by sanding low observable coatings. The complete facility-wide vacuum package that includes a dust control proprietary turbopump design is operated from a single centralized control panel. This control panel is outdated and requires an upgrade to guarantee continued use.

There is a 32’ scissor lift available on site for use if needed.
