About this file
This is a Performance Work Statement for preventative maintenance services on three Doosan Order Pickers located at Naval Air Station North Island (NASNI), Building 661. The contract objective is to provide preventative maintenance on the Order Pickers, batteries, and battery chargers to minimize work stoppages and identify electrical and mechanical issues before failure occurs.
The scope encompasses three Doosan BOP15S-9 Order Pickers (Registration Numbers SD00035, SD00036, and SD00037) that are staged in Bay 2 when not in use and used daily for removing and stowing heavy items in warehouse aisles. Performance requirements include: (A) bi-monthly preventative maintenance six times per year on engine/power systems, steering, and lift systems; (B) monthly preventative maintenance twelve times per year on batteries and electrical systems; and (C) yearly preventative maintenance once per year on the battery charger. All equipment must function in a smooth, efficient, and quiet manner according to original manufacturer specifications. Section 5.3 specifies that the contractor must immediately notify the command point of contact regarding any repair issues discovered during maintenance visits, with repair work explicitly excluded from this contract scope and requiring separate purchase order and prior approval. Section 6.1 requires the contractor to access NASNI without escort. A Quality Assurance Surveillance Plan is not required due to the contract value.
