Bio-Rad Bio-Plex 200 HTF Multiplex System Service Contract
1. Scope of Work The Naval Medical Research Unit San Antonio (NAMRU-SA) requires, via this PWS, a vendor to provide annual maintenance and an on-site service agreement for its Bio-Rad Bio-Plex 200 HTF Multiplex System.
NAMRU-SA conducts biomedical research to characterize bacterial and host responses related to infection and wound healing utilizing Bio-Rad’s Bio-Plex Manager software on the Bio-Rad Bio-Plex 200 HTF System. The Bio-Rad Bio-Plex 200 HTF is an automated fluorescent suspension reader system that has high sensitivity and detection capabilities requiring Bio-Plex Manager software for data transfer and integration, calibration and validation, and data optimization. Any downtime due to inoperable components, parameters out of line with factory specifications, or other reductions in performance due to equipment not maintained optimally and within factory determined specifications leads to significant losses of time, man-hours, critical data, and research productivity. This loss of time, data, and productivity directly harms the mission of NAMRU-SA to provide gap driven research to improve the survival, operational readiness, and safety of DoD personnel.
2. Definitions and Terms The Bio-Plex 200 system with HTF (high-throughput fluidics) is a suspension array system which offers protein and nucleic acid analysis in a reliable multiplex assay array that permits analysis of up to 100 biomolecules in a single sample and a maximum of 9,600 data points in a 96 well plate.
3. Support Requirements The contracted laboratory/company shall provide a preventative service contract as required by NAMRU- SA on an as-needed basis. The vendor must include technical support, repairs, preventative maintenance, and equipment qualification. This plan includes unlimited on-site repair visits, comprehensive and all-inclusive (parts and labor), travel expenses, and highest service dispatching priority during the service agreement coverage period. One preventative maintenance visit is also included in the service agreement.
The computer (PC) is not covered in the agreement; however, if required in the event of PC service, reinstallation of Bio-Plex Manager provided software and PC reconfiguration is covered in the agreement.
4. Additional Requirements/Qualifications The vendor selected for the contract of this Performance Work Statement must have the expertise required to facilitate customer queries and provide support.
This contract shall include a Non-disclosure Agreement (NDA) signed by the personnel performing on the contract and counter-signed by their management.
5. Delivery Address Naval Medical Research Unit San Antonio 3650 Chambers Pass, Bldg 3610 JBSA Fort Sam Houston, TX 78234 ATTN: John W. Simecek Phone: (210) 539-6991
6. Contract Period of Performance The anticipated period of performance is 12 months.
