PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS

The Contractor shall collect all waste materials at the facility and dispose at a municipal solid waste landfill (MSWL) and/or designated recycle facilities, as applicable. The Contractor shall be responsible for any permit or fees associated with the use of any waste material disposal site.

Disposal of solid waste is required at the address for Keswick Substation identified above. The containers will be located in the fenced area in the vicinity of Building 0003 at the front of the site.

The Contractor shall confine container deliveries or pickups between the hours of 0700 to 1530 on the scheduled pickup day(s). No pickup will be authorized on Saturdays, Sundays, Mondays, and Federal Holidays, unless otherwise specified. When a scheduled collection day falls on a holiday, all scheduled collection shall be made on the following workday.

All reasonable attempts shall be made by the Contractor to make collections as scheduled should access to a container be obstructed. If the container(s) are obstructed, the Contractor shall notify the COR immediately. If access to the container is made available prior to the final scheduled pickup of the day, the collection shall be made. If access is not made available, that pickup is not required.

After each collection of solid waste, the Contractor shall reposition all containers in an upright position within their respective collection stations to minimize interference with adjacent parking areas, roadways, etc. Containers shall be placed with their lids secured in a closed position.

Collection stations shall be left in a neat and orderly manner. All solid waste within a 25-foot radius of the collection station, including spillage and waste left or spilled in the areas by the container users, shall be removed.

Loose debris shall not be allowed to fly or fall from the vehicle or container at any time during transportation.

All containers shall be kept in a sanitary and clean condition. Containers shall be freshly painted at the start of the contract, and, if notified, periodically during the term of the contract to maintain a neat appearance. The Contractor’s name and local phone number shall be prominently displayed on each container. All doors, lids, hinges, rollers, wheels, braking devices and other moving parts shall be maintained to keep containers serviceable. Bent, damaged, leaking, rusting and unsightly containers shall be repaired, repainted, or replaced within one (1) week of notification.

WAPA reserves the right to move containers as it becomes necessary during certain operations.
