The work supports the 29th Infantry Division's operational readiness by ensuring adequate nutrition during critical pre-deployment phases.

The statement specifies contractor obligations for meal preparation, storage, sanitation, inventory management, and coordination with military dining facilities. Performance metrics include timeliness of meal delivery, food safety compliance, nutritional standards adherence, and customer satisfaction requirements. The contractor must maintain documentation of all meals provided and comply with applicable Department of Defense and Department of the Army regulations. This requirement is issued by the Department of the Army Virginia Army National Guard under Solicitation Number W912LQ26QA042, with the procurement focused on enhancing existing meal programs through supplemental food service support during the pre-mobilization period.

1.1.1 Objectives: The Virginia Army National Guard (VaARNG) 29th Infantry Division (29th ID) is looking to acquire menu enhancement items to the UGR Ration type meal, which will consist of menu enhancement items to support 9,695 Breakfast Meals and 10,304 Dinner meals to support Annual Training at Ft. Pickett, Blackstone VA, 23824.

1.2 Background: Menu enhancement items are necessary to augment the contents of the UGR Ration type meal to ensure that the supported soldiers are receiving two hot meals with the proper nutritional values, that the UGR Ration type meal cannot support over a sustained length of time.

1.3. Period of Performance (PoP): The Period of Performance will be between 4 October 2026 and 19 October 2026. The delivery of the menu enhancement items will occur over multiple deliveries using the 2-day – 2-day – 3-day delivery schedule.
