Performance Work Statement (PWS) Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard & Intermediate Maintenance Facility (PHNSY&IMF)

Trades Graduation Ceremony Venue

1.0 Background

In 1920, the Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard started an apprentice program to hire and train workers to repair United States Navy submarines and ships. The apprentice program has since evolved into an invaluable asset to our country's national defense. When apprentices complete the program, a graduation ceremony is held to recognize their accomplishments and celebrate their success with family, friends, and coworkers.

Government, military, and civilian dignitaries also attend the ceremony to support and celebrate the graduating apprentices.
