About this file
This is a Request for Proposal (RFP) posting page from the State of Oregon for battery transportation and recycling services. The procurement seeks qualified vendors to provide comprehensive transportation and recycling solutions for batteries, including collection, sorting, processing, and environmentally compliant disposal or recovery of materials. The RFP outlines requirements for handling various battery types and managing the complete lifecycle from transportation to final recycling. Specific response deadlines, proposal submission dates, and evaluation timelines are established to allow adequate time for bidder preparation and state review. Site visits and bidders' conferences may be scheduled to provide proposers with necessary information about operational requirements and facility locations. The contract term and any renewal options are specified within the RFP documents to establish the duration of services and potential for continued engagement with the selected vendor.
Pricing shall be submitted according to the fee structures outlined in the RFP, which may include per-unit transportation costs, processing fees, or other compensation mechanisms determined by the state's evaluation criteria. The procurement may include set-asides for small businesses, minority-owned enterprises, or other designated vendor categories as permitted under Oregon law. Information regarding incumbent contractors, current service levels, and existing environmental compliance frameworks will inform the baseline expectations for performance. Funding for this contract derives from the State of Oregon's budget allocation for waste management and environmental sustainability programs, with specific amounts and appropriation sources detailed in the financial requirements section of the RFP.
