About this file
This document is a Purchase Description for the procurement of 5,000 InLight Dosimeter Florescence Nuclear Track Detector (FNTD) readers by the U.S. Army Test, Measurement and Diagnostic Equipment Activity (USATA). The InLight dosimeters provide x, gamma, and beta radiation monitoring using optically stimulated luminescence (OSL) technology. The equipment must be delivered to USATA's Army Physical Standards Labs at Redstone Arsenal. The key requirements include: model description, quantity, and dosimeter capabilities such as reanalysis, nondestructive readout, dosimeter archiving, and insignificant fade. This is a pre-solicitation notice only and not an actual Request for Proposal (RFP). The government is gathering market information and does not intend to pay for any responses received. If a solicitation is issued, it will be posted on SAM.gov.

Purchase Description Procurement of InLight Dosimeter
The U.S. Army Test, Measurement and Diagnostic Equipment Activity (USATA) has a requirement to procure Five Thousand (5000) InLight Dosimeter Florescence Nuclear Track Detector (FNTD) reader used to increase production and efficiency for range.
The InLight dosimeters provide x, gamma, and beta radiation monitoring with optically stimulated luminescence (OSL) technology, a form of passive radiation detection dosimetry. InLight dosimeters are engineered to be read out by an InLight Reader. The equipment shall be delivered to USATA’s Army Physical Standards Labs located at Building 5435, Fowler Road Redstone Arsenal. The InLight Dosimeter items support USATA’s mission as follow:
1.0 Requirements:
Model Description Quantity
0440-000 AA InLight Dosimeter 1
Complete reanalysis capabilities
• Nondestructive readout allows for dose verification
• Dosimeter archiving made possible
• Track exposure over time—take incremental dose assessments
Dosimeter preparation eliminated
• No annealing
• No maintenance of the detector’s sensitivity required
• Engraved 2D bar code identifies dosimeter sensitivity
Insignificant fade
• Longer wear frequencies
2.0 Delivery Requirements
Shipping Address: U.S. Army TMDE Activity, Attn: Dustin Lewis, Building 5435, Redstone Arsenal, AL 35898
