About this file

This document is a Purchase Description/Salient Characteristics form for a federal contract announcement (MICC-FH-033557) detailing the procurement of specialized data acquisition (DAQ) equipment. The solicitation includes six primary line items: 36 SLICE6 AIR units with advanced sensing capabilities, 42 six-channel sensor cable assemblies, 84 fifteen-foot sensor extension cables, 84 triaxial piezoresistive accelerometers, 9 DS-4 racks for simultaneous DAQ downloads, and 10 interface device cable kits. Each item has precise technical specifications, including requirements for housing size, shock rating, sampling rates, measurement capabilities, and NIST calibration traceability.

The equipment is designed for high-precision data collection, with specifications mandating features such as a compact 2" x 2" x 2" housing, 500g shock rating, 10,000Hz sample rate, and the ability to measure shock, angular rate, barometric pressure, and GPS positional data. The procurement includes not just the primary equipment but also allows for a 15% initial benchstock of replacement parts for cables, adapters, and accelerometers. The solicitation emphasizes technical capabilities like real-time streaming, time synchronization of up to 4 DAQs, standalone recorder functionality, and comprehensive interfacing options through ethernet and various connectivity modules.
