About this file
This document is a Notice of Intended Decision to Enter into a Single Source Contract (PUR 7778) published by the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT). FDOT intends to enter into a 5-year subscription contract with iXsystems, Inc. to store pavement data, including Pavement Condition Surveys (PCS) and Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) data, which is required to support design and forensics applications across the state. The data storage requirements are 27,500 miles of roadway, approximately 137.5 terabytes per year, which needs to be stored on-premises for optimal processing.
The justification for the single source acquisition is that iXsystems, Inc. is the author, developer, and sole source provider of the TrueNAS Open Source storage operating system and appliance, which is the only known application that offers an enterprise-level, highly-available, fully supported storage system built on OpenZFS that is available as a subscription model. The total contract value is $324,890.00.
