About this file
This document is a Notice of Intended Decision to Enter into a Single Source Contract issued by the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), specifically for Data Center Rack Space services. The contract is for a five-year period to install hardware for backing up field office data sets to a cloud repository at the CoreSite AT2 repository located in Marietta, Georgia. The solution will provide backup capabilities and a disaster recovery component for data replication, with FDOT managing the backup and disaster recovery through its existing Veeam environment. The vendor, CoreSite, L.L.C., will provide two racks and necessary power.
The total contract value is $248,374.66, and the justification for single-source acquisition is based on FDOT's existing two dedicated data lines (MFN2) already connected to the CoreSite data center. This approach will provide an offsite repository for data backup and disaster recovery, particularly following significant weather events, while avoiding the secondary costs and time required to establish additional data lines to another facility. The contract is tracked internally under the number DOT-SS-25-9075-DG and falls under the commodity class 81112003 - Data Center Services.

The Department plans to install hardware to back up its field office data sets to a cloud repository. The hardware will be installed at the CoreSite AT2 repository, which is located at 1130 Powers Ferry Place, Marietta, GA 30067. steps taken to confirm unavailability of competition, as appropriate): The Department currently has two dedicated data lines (MFN2) connected from the Department’s network to the Coresite data center in
