About this file

This document is a Description of Intended Single Source Purchase (PUR 7776) issued by the Florida Department of Corrections (FDC). FDC is seeking to purchase Online Legal Research Subscription Services for the Office of the General Counsel from West Publishing Corporation and/or West, a Thomson Reuters business. The services include access to statutes, codes, case law, and a Continuing Legal Education (CLE) learning platform. The intended contract term is 34 months. The posting period for this single source procurement runs from August 28, 2023 to September 19, 2023.

The estimated dollar amount for the 34-month contract is $314,687.49. FDC's justification for the single source purchase is that West Publishing Corporation is the current provider of these proprietary online research subscription services, and FDC is mandated to provide legal research materials to its attorneys. No other vendors can provide the required services. This purchase will be made through a Sole Source Agreement with West Publishing Corporation.
