About this file

This document is a Description of Intended Single Source Purchase (PUR 7776) by the Florida Department of Education (Office of Safe Schools) related to the Florida Safe Schools Assessment Tool (FSSAT) Services. The Department has a need to continue to revise the templates and secure system maintenance and services for its digital security risk assessment tool, the FSSAT, as mandated by Florida Statutes. This contract will provide additional functionalities to address the needs of school districts necessary for the security risk assessment tool. The intended single source is Secure Passage (formerly Digital Sandbox, Inc./Haystax) for a term of 3 years with an estimated dollar amount of $2,935,000, which includes a $350,000 amendment. The justification for the single source acquisition is that the FSSAT is a proprietary online safety assessment system that houses the state's mandated school security risk assessment for each Florida public school and public school district's safety and security program assessments.

The pricing for this contract is estimated at $2,935,000, which includes a $350,000 amendment. The contract is a single source acquisition, and the justification is that the FSSAT is a proprietary system mandated by Florida Statutes for use by all public schools and school districts in the state.
