About this file

This is a Description of Intended Single Source Purchase (PUR 7776) filed by the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services' Division of Marketing and Development. The document announces the agency's intent to enter into a single-source agreement with SMRT Solutions, LLC for the "Fresh from Florida" Grocery Retailer Marketing Program. The procurement encompasses promotional advertising services including authorized use of the "Fresh from Florida" logo in circular advertisements for Sedano's and Fresco y Mas grocery chains, in-store signage featuring the logo on shelves and displays to identify Florida products, and digital promotion of Florida commodities on the retailers' websites and social media accounts. The posting was released on August 24, 2026, with the last day for receipt of information from prospective vendors set for September 15, 2026. The contract is scheduled for execution through June 30, 2027, representing a one-year term.

The estimated contract amount ranges from approximately $60,000 to $100,000. SMRT Solutions, LLC is identified as the sole agent responsible for handling receipts and payments on behalf of both Sedano's, a Miami-based grocery chain serving diverse Hispanic populations in South and Central Florida, and Fresco y Mas, founded in Hialeah and serving Hispanic and Caribbean communities in the same region. The justification for single-source procurement is based on SMRT Solutions' exclusive authority to plan, print, and publish weekly sale flyers; manage in-store signage distribution across all store locations; and develop digital content for both retailers' platforms. The procurement is authorized under Section 570 of the Florida Statutes, which grants the Department authority to promote agricultural products through various media channels. Prospective vendors may submit information regarding their capability to provide these services by the September 15, 2026 deadline.
