About this file

This document is a Description of Intended Single Source Purchase (PUR 7776) issued by the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT). FDOT is seeking to purchase the Census Transportation Planning Products (CTPP) Technical Service Program. The CTPP program provides special tabulations of American Community Survey data for transportation planning, analysis, and strategic direction. The intended source for this 5-year contract is the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO), as they are the only known source that can produce and provide access to this specialized Census data. The estimated dollar amount for this single-source contract is $593,956.79.

The justification for this single-source procurement is that the Census data provided through the CTPP program is a key input for a variety of state, regional, and local transportation policy and planning efforts, and AASHTO is the sole provider of this specialized data and associated technical services. No other sources were found to be able to meet FDOT's requirements.
